Felix Soto hails from the east coast of the United States in Oak Ridge, North Carolina. A recent graduate of Penn- Griffin School of the Arts, He is a talented artist, accomplished student, and animal enthusiast. In addition, Felix loves to play softball and enjoys cooking, debate, and public service. During his gap year, Felix is looking to work with equines and other large animals. He is currently in the field in San Jose, Costa Rica serving as an intern in a local veterinary clinic. An avid rider, instructor, and lover of all things horse, he is planning to work with horses and the local population. After fulfilling the service component of his Gap Year, Felix is looking forward to learning more about the world at large by traveling and exploring Central and South America. Felix is passionate about human rights and ensuring equal treatment for all under the law. He plans to put the unique experiences from his Gap Year to practical use by learning about diverse cultures and the challenges they face. Upon returning to Carolina, Felix plans to study Public Policy and Government.
